HOW MANY CHILDREN CAN I INVITE?

There is no limit. My Happie Amp means EVERYONE can hear.

 

INSIDE OR OUTSIDE?

Inside is better but outside is OK. Just remember I need shade too. If it's too hot for the kids, it's too hot for me. Wind is no one's friend at a party.

 

HOW BIG AN AREA DO YOU NEED?

An average sitting room is fine. Just allow two big paces from the wall for Dan to do his performance. A cleared floor for the children to sit and some seats for Adults.

 

WHEN SHOULD I START THE SHOW?

Half an hour after the party starts. There are ALWAYS latecomers.

 

WHAT IF THERE IS MORE THAN ONE BIRTHDAY CHILD?

Great. their will be two stars in the show.

 

MY CHILD IS SHY. WILL THEY BE OVERWHELMED?

Not at all. I am very good at reading children and tread lightly. I have created a highly entertaining show that is great for all ages. My show incorporates lots of audience participation, but volunteers are always picked by raising their own hands.

 

CAN I SERVE FOOD DURING THE SHOW?

It's your party, you can do what you like BUT it's so much better if you don't. The kids will have a better experience.

 

DO YOU DO ADULT PARTIES AND SHOWS?

All the time. Always clean and entertaining.

 

How much is it?

We have several kids shows. Pricing depends on which show you would like to book and if we would require a sound system. There is no charge for minimal customization. Let us know if your child has any special hobbies or interests and we will make every effort to customize the magic show to them!

 

Is there any set up required?

Dan will show up 15 minutes prior to the start to set up the show. The set up needs to be done in private- away from the kids and the adults.

 

Will Dan need reserved parking?

If parking is an issue on your street, reserving parking will be very helpful. It is customary to reimburse your performer for any parking fees associated with your event.

 

Will other party activities affect the entertainment?

Possibly. If Dan has to compete with a lot of background noise (including adults talking in the background, music, bounce castle, etc.), it will be more difficult to entertain the children. Other distractions to avoid may include serving food in the middle of a performance.

 

Can all the adults watch too?

Yes! We encourage the adults to watch and participate! If the child is under the age of 4 you can sit with them on the floor. We would prefer all the kids to sit on the floor and that leaves the sofas and chairs for the adults.

 

Will Dan accommodate special requests?

Dan will make every effort to accommodate your requests. If you have any special requests, please let Dan know.

 

What form of payment do you accept?

I accept payment in the form of cash or cheque. If you want to pay by Visa, Master Card or Paypal you can do this at the time of booking the show.

 

Do I need to pay a deposit?

no deposit is required for birthday parties. If booking for a fair, festival, corporate function, multiple parties, or Christmas / Holiday Events, then a deposit of 25% is required. The deposit is refundable up to 15 days prior to your event.

 

Should I tip?

Gratuities are always optional. However, if you would like to tip Dan, they are always appreciated.

 

I’ve never booked entertainment before, how does it work?

We have made booking easy. Click on the contact button at the bottom of each page fill in the form for your event. Dan will contact you within 24 hours. If you have any questions or would like to book over the phone, please call or text Dan at 416-418-8544.

 

I’m worried that the entertainment will be late or won’t show up

We are a professional business that works hard to put your mind at ease. During the booking process a conformation email will be sent to you.

 

Can I take photos or record the show?

You may record portions of the show, but not the entire show. Photography of the show is encouraged! It’s a great way to remember the event.

 

How far in advance do you need to be booked?

There is no length that is set in stone. As there are only so many spots available during the weekend it is suggested that entertainment is hired prior to sending out invitations. It may be possible to move the party earlier or later or even to another day to ensure that I am available for your event. However there are occasionally spots open so please feel free to contact me even if its last minute. If I can’t help you I will try to find someone that can.

 

Do you work with entertainment agents?

We allow entertainment agents to bring our shows to events that they are planning. We also offer “Agent-Friendly” promotional materials and websites for our agents and event planners.

 

Are your shows appropriate for all ages?

Yes! All of the material in Dan’s shows is appropriate for family audiences. While there is some situational comedy along the way, nothing is inappropriate. But at the same time, the comedy in Dan's adults shows is completely different than his children shows.

 

Do you offer any Event Planning services?

We will help you plan all aspects of your event when it comes to entertainment. We can also refer you to other Event Planning professionals who have gained our trust.
